On 2 April took place annual assembly of the Latvian Bible Society. This time it was organized at the premises of the Seventh day Adventist Church “Corinth”. Devotions were led by the Lutheran pastor Mareks Ignats who preached about actualization of Scriptures in our lives. As always, members listened to reports and debated about work of the Bible Society. They also elected the new Board: G. Bezdelīga, M. Mickāne, P. Brūvers, P. Cielavs, L. Rozentāls, A. Baštiks, J. Balodis, J. Ņečajeva, O. Incenbergs, M. Jākobsone, J. Ozoliņkēvičs, I. Rasa-Trūpa, Z. Jansons, G. Medne. According to by-laws and interdenominational nature of organization members are from various denominations. Equally diverse is working experience they will bring to the Bible work – bishops (P. Brūvers, J. Ozoliņkēvičs), pastors, priests, local church activists of various occupations. After the assembly the Board reelected Chairperson – pastor Ojārs Incenbergs.
