The Frankfurt Book Fair is among the largest projects of this kind. Total number of visitors this year reached 300,000 people. It attracted more than 9,000 journalists. There were more than 20 participants from Latvia - publishers and printing presses. Among them for the first time was also the Latvian Bible Society. The New Testament on waterproof paper published by the Latvian BS was among books displayed in the Latvian stand. The Frankfurt Book Fair offers unique opportunities for publishers to meet and to learn about new trends in publishing. The Book Fair had separate section on religion.
