On 18 March at the premises of the Ķekava Culture Centre the Latvian Bible Society together with Kekava Pentecostal Church and Kekava Lutheran Church celebrated the Bible Day, It was really a sign of ecumenical fellowship. The Bible unites us in spite of diversity. Pentecostal pastor Kristaps Cēburs encouraged all present in the worship service to read the Bible together because “when we eat this bread together we get also better understanding of each other.” During the worship service offerings were collected to support the Kekava Social Centre with printed Bibles and audio Bibles.

Kristaps Cēburs, Ķekava Pentecostal pastor, said: “Scriptures are as the table at which all are welcome. We are the rich nation because we have even two Bible translations. Not all nations are so privileged. However to understand the Bible we need the whole life.”
