    Fundraising campaigns 2010

Fundraising campaigns 2010 have been finished

The Latvian Bible Society is very thankful to 2201 donors who support our FR campaigns donating 23 257,24 Ls (33 224 EUR) during year 2010. They helped us in spreading the Word of God in various ways.

This financial support has allowed us:

+ to donate 180 New Testaments in new translation to libraries around Latvia;

+ to donate 348 Bibles, New Testaments and other books for children to the non-profit Christian charity organization “Raven's Fund” that provides people in need with food as well as with spiritual care;

+ to produce audio recording of Psalms and other poetical texts of the Bible in CD format;

+ to support (870,- Ls/1237.90 EUR) project of the Georgian Bible Society - donating children Bibles for children of families displaced during the Russian-Georgian war in August 2008;

+ to introduce the second part of the Bible learning program "Bible Adventure" (about the New Testament) in schools;

+ to distribute 548 Bibles, New Testaments and other books free of charge to parishes, schools and individuals;

+ to deliver 100 copies of audio recording of Genesis and Exodus in CD format the CD free of charge to the Library for Blind People of Latvia, The Society of Blind People of Latvia and other organizations (including churches) and individuals who are serving persons with sight disabilities.

+ to finish editorial work of the Old Testament and Deuterocanonical books of the new Bible translation. The new Bible translation will be launched in 2012.
