Good News for people who have lost hope in economic crisis

Bibles and books for children together with supplies of basic food will be donated for poor families with children in cooperation with non-profit Christian charity organization “Raven's Fund” (www.krauklafonds.lv). This organization supports people in need with food once a week in 18 centers around Latvia in cooperation with different denominations. In February 2010 125 000 people in Latvia had legal status of poor person. According to the data provided by the Ministry of Welfare in February 2011 this status have almost 200 000 persons in Latvia..

“Prayers for Little Hearts” – for young patients in children’s hospitals

Books “Prayers for Little Hearts” will be donated in 3 children’s hospitals among patienets staying there during Christmas time. Books will be donated for Children’s Library at the Central Children’s hospital in Latvia as well.

Promotion of the new Bible translation

The new Bible translation will be published in 2012. One issue of special newspaper devoted to this big event will be prepared and published in the first part of 2012. This newspaper format news bulletin besides promoting new Bible translation will remind readers about values of the Bible in our consumer society. It will be distributed free of charge among supporters of our fundraising campaigns, parishes and in various public places.

“Promises for Little Hearts” for children in orphan's homes around Latvia (project will be specified during the year)

Book “Promises for Little Hearts” will be prepared and published during the year 2012. Copies of that book will be donated to small children in orphan's homes around Latvia. 10 % of the campaign’s income will be given to an institution or an individual who cares for children with different health problems.
